Organised by James Masterman and Ben McBride from soccerkids Dubai and group member Ingeborg Kroese, the event was a great success with a total of 20 participants, ranging from the ages of 4 to 19. Basic motor co -ordination skills were put to the test, together with a variety of fun based activities and a penalty competition that put our coaches’ goalkeeping skills to the test! The majority of the group’s members are parents of children/adults with Down syndrome. And other members comprise of professionals from the Medical and Educational sectors, and volunteers.
The aim of the group which includes 100 members from 25 different nationalities is to support families, create awareness among the general public and in schools, bring expertise from abroad with the aim of training professionals and parents to an international standard for special needs, thereby creating the same opportunities for our children in the UAE.
